Hello group , nice to be back in Australia,
Well the FT-9000 I was lucky enough to purchase one while i was overseas, 400 watt version.
I will start off by saying its a beautiful radio and out of the range of the average person, still worth hitting up your wife/partner/ bank manager etc: to invest in one . Not saying that's in an investment, mine is only 2 months old and price has dropped a small bit already !!
The price of this thing, I know you can buy a car with , So my suggestion , BUY THE CAR !!

I wont bore you with the specs , I know Darren has pretty much laid out what it can do. I will say the RX is not as good as my other radios. I have a FT-2000, Kenwood TS2000
and the Icom 7000.I run a lot of audio gear with this radio,
I still find the Yaesu FT-2000 to be the far more superior. To be honest with you guys , with the audio adjustments set on the 9000 and a MD-200 which i use, the either 2000 radios sound just as good.
Not much to add, the radio is set up well , no real small buttons so if you have to fumble around with small knobs !Also make sure you have a good strong and long radio table because these things are beasts !!
Love to catch up with you guys , If you would like to hear it , im usually hovering around late afternoon or mornings on weekends . My work keeps me away from the radio, but when i get a chance would love to catch up

Cheers and good DX
