Looks like there isn’t too many radio operators out there concerned about the tons of carbon emissions that are being dumped into the Ionosphere these days. It’s a marvel of nature that we as radio operators rely upon to extend our hobby. I’m not a greeny by any stretch of the imagination — it's just I hate paying bloody bills.

So the idea of leaving any thing turned on because “that’s the way it is” I think is not only extravagant but also disrespectful of others and yourself — especially when one day when you least expect it (and that’s the way power failures happen) it's not there.

Don’t pretend do your bit
“Turn it off.”
