Of all the contests on 11m, the ones which appear to strike up the most interest among Contesters are those involving DX entities rather than individual operators themselves. Stations in the field, islands, lighthouses, castles and fortresses, and water and windmills are at the top of the list with groups such as Delta Xray, Alfa Tango and Fox Radio leading the charge with regular DXpedition activities to provide opportunities for 11m DXers. With Romeo Charlie’s 7 month IOTA contest concluding on June 30, a couple of weeks after the successful WWRO Islands Festival and DX-RC’s IOTA Weekend, attention is turning now to Fox Radio’s spectacular 2008 MOTA Contest which celebrates the International Day of Windmills & Watermills.

This year’s FR MOTA Contest will take place over two long weekends, commencing on Friday July 11(00h01 GMT). A massive 21 windmills and watermills will be on the air during this time, providing a smorgasbord of MILL action for the 11m DX Contester.

This year, there will be three kinds of winners: the first 3 hunters in an International category, the first 3 hunters among FR members and the first FR MOTA Team with the most contacts.

* Friday 11th July (00h01 Gmt) until Monday 14th July 2008 (23h59 Gmt)
* Friday 18th July until Sunday 20th July
* Each FR MOTA station is going to give progressive numbers the 2 week ends of 11,12,13,14,18,19,20 July 2008

Participation

* This challenge is open for all operators on 11 metres

— Call-sign of the participant with his address.
— Dates of the contacts.

* The contribution asked is one IRC or equivalent

Results

* The winner will be the one who contacts the most FR MOTA Stations
* In case of equality the winner will be this one who will have got the smallest total after adding all of his progressives numbers
* In unlikely case of continued equality, the smallest progressive number will indicate the winner
* Results will be published on the FR website http://www.fox-radio.com
