Is this Radio...as we know it?

Hi Guys. Today I could hear 74 division with a fairly low signal, the call sign was 74/13LD001 (Mr Marc).

I imediately thought that 13LD001 Marc was on holiday or perhaps working in Namibia. Then when I later went onto Cluster I was a little surprised, if not amazed to find out that Marc was [b]NOT[/b] in Namibia, he was in fact sitting in his own qth in GERMANY!!!!

The transmission was being carried out via an internet relay.

So this brings me back to my question, "Is This Radio...as we know it?"

I personally would not like to count this as a genuine confirmation. Maybe it's me being old fashioned and somewhat behind the times, but to me this is not my view of what our hobby is about.

I'd be very interested to have your opinions on this one guys.
