Radio Magazines Available!

After the tragic demise of ‘Radio & Communications’ magazine and more recently ‘ESR’, 43 Division Radio enthusiasts have no doubt been left high and dry in terms of obtaining reading material for their hobby.
I, for one, am devastated that the latest attempt failed to take off — not only because stuff like Jack Haden's Dx Column and the various reviews were such an excellent read, but also because it was the only publication to have EVER catered for the serious 11m Dx’er.
Maybe it’s our own fault for not supporting the publication to ensure its survival? Possibly it was simply bad management by Bob Harper who didn't follow through on most of his promises?
Whichever the case, it doesn’t matter anymore — except perhaps to those that are still owed hundreds of dollars for contributing to the mags. It still matters to them, I can tell you!
It’s worth remembering, however, that there are still a couple of publications worth considering. These deserve our support also...

ACBRO, for example, publishes and distributes a magazine called "ACBRO ACTION" that contains the latest and up-to-date information on matters pertinent to the Citizen's Band Radio Service in Australia. Why not check it out at http://www.acbro.org/.
Queensland radio supplier 'Syncro Communications' also publish a bi-monthly mini magazine called ‘SYNCRO RADIO WORLD’ which is worth looking at. This comes as part of their $22 AUS two year membership package which also includes a 5% discount on all purchases and services from Syncro and Tower Communications and free postage of overnight freight on purchased items up to 5kg.

Sure, this is predominatly advertising material for Syncro itself but there are some good reviews and the occasional good article. More information is available at http://www.syncroelec.com.au/.
73's everyone and here's hoping that we'll see another magazine available at newsagents in the near future which caters for the hobby!
